KEMEA presented to an audience of emergency
professionals and post-graduate students the concept of IMPRESS and the
relative solution designed for managing and organize information and data in
context of multi-casualty incidents and large disasters. The presentation was
included in the program of a training event that took place in the Library of
the Medical School of Athens the dates 19 and 20/2/2016 and it was linked to
the postgraduate program of the Faculty of Medicine, titled “International
Medicine / Health-Crisis Management”.
The attendees of the event expressed their
interest concerning the project and the potential interaction with the
post-graduate course of the Medical school.
The participants of the program expressed their interest to use mock-ups
of the solution and training material that will be produced and delivered by
the project when this will be available.
It has to be noticed that the envisaged
postgraduate program adopts, in the courses provided, the US EMS structure as
eventual Health Emergency Management System since this is the formal organization
plan for Greece. Thus the participants found quite relevant and efficient the
approach defined by IMPRESS consortium.
The presentation opened opportunities for
future interaction between the Post-Graduate program of the University of
Athens and the IMPRESS consortium.
