In order to strengthen IMPRESS dissemination
activity, KEMEA has established close collaboration with the postgraduate
course (MSc) on “Disaster Medicine and Health-Crisis Management” (http://crisis.med.uoa.gr) of the Faculty of Medicine of the
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
In this context, KEMEA has participated in “Disaster
Medicine Seminar” held in the premises of the Medical School (Athens) the 15th
and 16th of January 2016. This seminar considered several topics related
to the IMPRESS activity including Hospital preparedness- The European model, Surge
capacity, Hospital Incident Command System, Hospital Incident Action Planning, Effective
Response and Recovery, Scenarios, Design and Tools, and Hospital emergency
operational plans. During the event the project brochure and the IMPRESS
newsletter was distributed to the participants.
Further to the above, IMPRESS was included in
the program of the upcoming seminar of the Masters Course titled “PhAid 2016 -
Emergency Prehospital First Aids Training”, which will take place in 19-20
February 2016, in the Library of Health
Science (Athens, Greece). The audience
shall include post-graduate students and professionals in emergency medicine.
The IMPRESS solution and the training platform of the project will be
considered during the panel discussion at the end of the event.
